Oven Stove Top Repair EdmontonThe warmth from the oven in a kitchen can be described as the heart of the home. Imagine the warm scent of cinnamon buns baking inside. Or imagine the delicious aroma of a turkey roasting inside for a special occasion. Baking and cooking in the kitchen is the essence of home. And the heart is warmed by sweet aromas coming from within.
The problem that can arise is when the oven or stove top isn't working correctly. All of a sudden, that special dinner can be put on hold. Or those cookies you were anticipating don't turn out at all. It could be that the oven itself won't turn on. Or it will not heat up correctly. Or perhaps the pot on the stovetop will not come to the full boil needed for your pasta. Dinner can be derailed. If you are experiencing any issues with either the oven or stovetop, be sure to have an experienced appliance technician take a look at it. Whether it is gas or electric, they will have a solution to the issue and will work on getting the appliance back to sound working condition. When in need, call Edmonton Appliance Repair and Service. We are available when you need us. Just give us a call and we will arrange to be at your home to complete the job. Call us at 587.415.2575. Return to Home |

Ovens and stove tops do require routine maintenance. If you work these types of tasks into your normal schedule, you may reduce the need for service. These are not labor intense and are really easy to do.
When you are cleaning your stove top, avoid getting any water or cleaner behind any of the dials. As these dials are connected to electricity and if water does seep in, it could cause a short. Just use a damp cloth, with the cleaner or water on it, and wipe away the surface. If you want to clean behind the dials, disconnect the breaker to the appliance first.
Keep an eye on your burners and heating elements. If you notice that they are damaged, replace them as soon as possible. Signs of damage can be seen as bright red-hot spots or blemishes. If you see those, it may be an indication of damage and the element or burner could short out. Replace them before more damage occurs.
Clean the oven regularly. Keeping spills and grime from building up will keep the oven functioning more effectively and will reduce risk of damage or fire. And if you have a self cleaning oven, follow the manufacturers instructions for use. But do this sparingly - not more than once a year. If you have spills, clean them up when the oven has cooled.
